Sometime in the mid 1990's...

If Double Dragon is the father then Final Fight is the mother of all scrolling beat 'em ups.

Several hundred bad guys all in a row with nothing but your bare hands (and the occasional dagger or big metal pole) to beat them all into a pulp...

Some of the greatest game characters came from this brawler. Guy, Cody, Rolento, Sodom and Hugo joined the rosters of later incarnations of the Street Fighter series.
